Nicole studied a conjoint degree of Law (Honours) and Arts majoring in English and Psychology from the University of Auckland.

Her interest in writing and public speaking led her to volunteer as Competitions Officer for the Mooting Society, take part in various negotiation and mediation competitions, and regular write articles on news and politics for the university magazine, Craccum. She currently volunteers as a Style Editor for the Public Interest Journal where she edits the content and arguments of various articles before they are published.

Nicole leaned into her interest in torts and strengths in writing and public speaking when she chose to start a career in litigation. Since joining Grimshaw & Co, she has enjoyed assisting in trial preparation through discovery and creating an electronic casebook.
