Admitted 2013

Lucy has a Bachelor of Law and Arts from the University of Otago, and was admitted to the bar in 2013. She is an associate, and works on civil and general litigation cases. Her expertise include insurance and construction law. She has recently returned from London, where she spent two years working in the private law team for the United Kingdom’s Government Legal Department. Prior to moving overseas she worked in insurance law, representing New Zealand’s leading insurers.

Since joining Grimshaw and Co earlier this year she has turned her focus to construction litigation. This includes representing clients in the District and High Courts, as well as mediations. The litigation relates to Unit Titles disputes, leaky and defective building claims, as well as general litigation cases.
