Hannah is a commercial litigator specialising in construction law.  Previously a civil engineer, Hannah has extensive experience advising on technically and legally complex construction disputes arising out of both large-scale infrastructure projects and multi-unit residential developments in New Zealand and abroad.  She has acted on numerous variation (or compensation event), prolongation, disruption and payment claims and has significant experience in adjudications under construction contracts, in particular, the NEC contract.  She is involved in all aspects of construction and building defect dispute resolution procedures including mediation, arbitration and court proceedings.

Hannah also has advised on legal issues following the insolvency of main contractors and subcontractors, procurement challenges and on competition law issues.

Hannah is dual qualified as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand and a solicitor in England and Wales.  She also holds a Masters in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution (with Merit) from King’s College London.
