Camille Dougherty Ware

Camille graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Laws with a second major in Te Reo Māori. Camille has whakapapa to Ngatikahu ki Whangaroa and Ngāti Maniapoto. She is also an advanced speaker of Te Reo Māori.

While at university, Camille was an executive member of Te Whakahiapo, the Māori Law Students Association. The Association provided support for Māori law students through mentoring programmes, sports events and cultural enhancement. Camille was also a finalist in the McCaw Lewis Kaupapa Māori moot competition in 2014.

Her passion for her community drove Camille to volunteer as a caseworker and legal assistant at Community Law Waikato. She provided legal research support and interviewed clients from all backgrounds.

Following her interest in dispute resolution, Camille joined Grimshaw & Co and has been assisting with discovery, trial preparation, and legal research.
