By a Court judgment the High Court decided that each earthquake event that created a claim triggered the liability of EQC for $100,000 (house) and $20,000 (contents). So there were separate claims and entitlements to the statutory maximums. This decision benefits insurance companies that are at risk for sums about the EQC maximums.
