In a Court of Appeal decision 3 August 2010 the Court allowed an appeal by the Auckland City Council against a decision of the High Court permitting a leaky home owner to sue the Council for failings of a building certifier, Approved Building Certifiers, in relation to its inspections and certification of builing work.
