FAQ
Is there a time limit within which I can bring a claim?
YES!!!!!! There are two time limits that may prevent you bringing your claim:
Firstly you have 6 years from the date the defects became reasonably discoverable to bring your claim; and
No matter when the defects became reasonably discoverable you have 10 years from when the building work was carried out to bring your claim. So even if you only just realised you have a problem if your home is around 10 years old you cannot delay a moment longer you must seek legal advice immediately and to protect yourself you should register your home with the Weathertight Homes Resolution Service.
